Record Phone Call using Android

Modified on Thu, 12 Mar at 10:40 AM

The following steps outline how to record a phone call using your Android device.

1. Open the Phone App

Access the Phone app on your Android device to start or answer a call.

2. Start Recording

Once the call is active, look for the Record button on the call screen.

  • If you don’t see it immediately, tap the "More" icon (three vertical dots).

  • Important: Depending on your region, an automated voice may notify both parties that recording has started.

3. Stop Recording

Tap the Stop Recording button. The recording will also end automatically once you hang up.

4.  Find & Export Your Recording

  1. Open the Phone app and tap the Recents tab.

  2. Tap the name of the contact you just called.

  3. Tap History, then find the call and tap Recordings/Play.

  4. Use the Share icon to save the audio file to your device's "Files" or "Downloads" folder.

Final Step: Upload to Filenote AI

Once the audio file is saved, upload it directly to the Filenote AI Platform to generate your documents.

Note for Users: If the "Record" button is missing, your mobile carrier or specific device model may have disabled this feature for privacy reasons.
