Follow the steps below to join and record a meeting via the Filenote AI platform.
Option 1: The "Ad-Hoc" Recording (via Home Page)
Best for: Unplanned meetings, or face-to-face sessions not currently in your calendar.
Navigate Home: Go to the Home Page of the Filenote AI platform.
Trigger Action: Select the Record Now button.
Choose Your Platform: Select your preferred meeting platform (Teams or Zoom).
Set the Workflow: Select the Workflow Stage (e.g., Discovery).
Note: This step tells the AI exactly which templates (like Discovery File Note, Letter of Engagement and Mind Maps) to generate once you're done.
Identify the Client: Select an existing client from the dropdown or click Add New Client.
Launch: Press Start Recording. This will automatically open Teams or Zoom.
Once Filenote AI launches your chosen platform (Teams or Zoom), you must initiate the recording within that app to capture the audio.
Refer to our Desktop or Mobile recording guides to ensure your audio is captured correctly.
Option 2: The "Scheduled" Recording (via Meet & Record)
Best for: Meetings already in your diary. If you haven’t added a link yet, don't worry—we’ll generate one for you.
Navigate to Meet & Record: Go to the Meet & Record tab in the sidebar.
Find Your Meeting: Locate the relevant session in your synced calendar.
Start the Engine: Click Record next to the meeting entry.
If a link already exists, you’ll join immediately.
If it’s a face-to-face meeting without a link, Filenote will create the recording environment for you.
Once Filenote AI launches your chosen platform (Teams or Zoom), you must initiate the recording within that app to capture the audio.
